About this performance

In this bittersweet love story, the sheltered Viennese daughter Lisa follows the call of her heart to a completely foreign culture. Her spurned suitor Gustl travels after her and finds another romance. Lisa's infatuation, however, is not fulfilled, for the world to which her Prince Charming leads her is only a "land of smiles" on the outside ...

A lot of fresh wind blows in the artist cast: The state opera tenor Jörg Schneider will sing his first Sou-Chong alongside Cornelia Horak. Like him, Juliette Khalil and Jakob Semotan (as Buffalo couple Mi - Gustl) will also make their debuts, as will conductor Lorenz C. Aichner and the director-choreographer Florian Hurler at the operetta Langenlois.
