International award winners and emerging talents from Austria take center stage in this program:
Soprano Martina Neubauer, winner of the Lions Musikpreis Österreich 2022, has already celebrated her debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus as part of Musica Juventutis, as has our “Great Talent” Anja Mittermüller. The latter, following two appearances at the Schubertiade with András Schiff, is now an integral member of the circle of young musicians supported by the Wiener Konzerthaus. Making their debuts are French trumpeter Robin Paillet, winner of both First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Internationaler Musikwettbewerb der ARD 2025, conductor Johannes Beranek, recipient of the Karl-Österreicher-Preis this past June, and Dutch pianist Nikola Meeuwsen, winner of the most recent Concours Reine Elisabeth. For the first time, philharmonic bassoonist Sophie Dervaux will appear in the role of conductor.
