Radiance and Brilliance – Haydn at His Finest
Joseph Haydn is one of the great innovators in music history, and this concert showcases his artistry in all its richness and brilliance. The Wiener KammerOrchester, under the direction of its chief conductor Jan Willem de Vriend, presents an all-Haydn program that combines musical refinement with elegance and a touch of wit.
At the heart of the evening is Haydn’s celebrated Trumpet Concerto, a masterpiece of radiant virtuosity, filled with melodies that audiences will carry home as unforgettable earworms. The soloist is the young member of the Wiener Philharmoniker, Daniel Schinnerl-Schlaffer, who captivates with technical assurance and vibrant musicality.
The program is complemented by two of Haydn’s best-known symphonies: the festive and intellectually sparkling “Oxford” Symphony and the exhilarating “Alleluia” Symphony, whose nickname reflects its jubilant energy.
