Biografie
Wilma Kvamme is a Norwegian mezzo-soprano whose musical education spans institutions in both Scandinavia and Austria. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Lied, Oratorio, and Concert Performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, studying with KS Prof. Angelika Kirchschlager. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Voice at the same institution under Prof. Sebastian Vittucci. She began her studies in Sweden, training at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, as well as at Södra Latins Gymnasium and Adolf Fredriks Musikgymnasium in Stockholm, where she was also shaped through extensive choral experience in renowned youth ensembles.
During her studies, she has developed an active international performance career spanning opera, concert, oratorio, and Lied. She has appeared in productions and concerts across Austria, Germany, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden, collaborating with orchestras, opera houses, and festivals. Her artistic focus ranges from major sacred works and operatic repertoire to song recitals and chamber music projects, often in close collaboration with pianists and ensembles.
She has performed at institutions such as the Bergen National Opera and the Salzburg Festival, and has participated in a variety of operatic and concert productions across Europe. In parallel, she is an active Lied singer, regularly appearing in recital formats and collaborative artistic projects.
Her artistic development has been supported by numerous awards and scholarships from both Scandinavian and Central European cultural foundations, reflecting her growing presence on the international classical music stage and her continued artistic development across multiple genres.
